Bulgarian-German Vocational Training Center /DBBZ/ Pleven was established on the 23rd of October 1996 on the basis of bilateral agreement between the Bulgarian and the German government according to the project “Vocational training and employment promotion”.
Since 18th of September 1998 DBBZ Pleven is a member of the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB). Forty-one independent and non-profit vocational training institutes and associations from eighteen European countries with more than 1000 vocational training institutions are currently members of the EVBB.
On the 30th of June 2001, in recognition of our professional work, the European Building and Services Association (EBSA) - association of institutions, providing vocational training services in the field of Construction Engineering - accepted the Bulgarian-German Vocational Training Centre Pleven as its member.
On the 5th of July 2002 DBBZ Pleven has been certified as a Vocational Training Centre with a license № 200211018 at the National Agency for Vocational Education and Training, which has been supplemented twice with new professions and specialties.
On the 28th of May 2004 DBBZ Pleven has been certified for the European quality standard EN ISO 9001:2000 by SYSTEMCERT /Austria/ and successfully puts into practice the Quality Management System.
