For more than 11 years yet the DBBZ in Pleven has been offering vocational training for adults, based on the German experience - with accent on gaining practical skills and oriented towards the real economy’s needs and the practice. The target groups are unemployed people, as well as workers, employees and managing staff of companies, who want to improve their qualification.
Average about 1600 trainees per year graduate a great variety of vocational training courses on a part of occupation or on gaining a level of professional qualification and participate in various training seminars in the fileds of training:

⇒ Information Technology
The interest in Information Technology Training within the framework of the occupations “Computer operator”, “Computer Systems Fitter” with speciality “Computer networks” and with speciality “Computer engineering and technology” is growing increasingly.
DBBZ Pleven has modernly equipped workshops and classrooms, that are in compliance with the international standards for practically oriented training for adults. The trainers have long experience and competences in adult training and are specialized in the training of socially disadvantaged groups.
Main field of the Centre’s activities is training of specialists for improving their qualifications and gaining new skills on request by companies.
Seminars for small and medium enterprises are regularly organized, which include topics related to occupational safety and health at work (OSH) in the construction industry, company and production organisation and management, quality management, as well as seminars for implementation of new materials and technologies in the construction industry: drywall construction, thermal insulation systems and hydroinsulation systems, concrete foundation and foundation reinforcement, machine plastering etc.
The main activities of the Centre include also foreign language training – English and German courses on different levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, as well as preparatory courses for the internationally recognised certificates ZD - Zertifikat Deutsch und ZMP - Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung of Goethe Institute and FCE (First Certificate in English) and CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) of Cambridge University.
DBBZ Pleven uses innovative approaches to training and developing of curricula and teaching materials. The Centre has extensive experience with the participation in working out the State educational requirements for the occupation “Construction worker” from the List of the recognised VET professions in Bulgaria.
Part of the main activity of the Centre is also the work on various international programmes and projects (Leonardo da Vinci Programme, Grundtvig Programme, Phare Programme, project “Beautiful Bulgaria”, projects of ILO – International Labour Organization).
